There are times when we get really busy and tired after a day of work or school. The frustrations that you had or the happy things that happened made one overwhelmed by its owns feelings. When we tok to our loved ones, we tend to tok abt our frustrations, happiness, sadness etc. But at the same time, shouldn't we take a moment to forget ourselves and start thinking about your partner? How they have been during the day? Is there anything bad or good happen to them? Do not wait for them to tell you, cos its not tt they got nothing to tell u, sometimes, its you who did not give them any chance to tok about themselves. So shouldn't we take a min or so each day to let your love ones know that we do care about them. And not only ourselves.

This afternoon me and dear went to Pasir Ris Farmway to check out the dog farms there. They have quite a no. of them there. Some of them are really small and bad conditioned. You can smell pungent of dogs' "wee wee" and "poo poo" before you stepped in. We even saw one with rats as big as the puppies..eeee...

We saw cute puppies like the toy poodle, silky terrier. These two are in our list when we decided to get one doggie for ourselves.

Toy Poodle

Temperament:
The Toy Poodle is sensitive and remarkably intelligent. Highly responsive, they are said to be one of the most trainable breeds. Pleasant, happy, perky and lively, they like to be with people. Demanding and delightful; very amusing and clever, but they are reserved with strangers and should be socialized as a puppy. It makes a very good watchdog for its size. Any effort the owner puts into training and socializing will be well rewarded. Some bloodlines may be high-strung and timid. They may snap if they are teased or surprised. They do best with older, considerate children and are generally good with other pets and dogs. Unless trained, this breed tends to bark a lot

Height, Weight:
Height: up to 10 inches (25.4 cm.)Weight: 6-9 pounds (3-4 kg.)

Health Problems:
Some are prone to ear infections, runny eyes, digestive tract and heart disorders, skin conditions, slipped stifle and PRA. Also IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia)

Living Conditions:
Toy Poodles are good for city life as well as country living. They are very active indoors and will do okay without a yard.

Exercise:
They like to go for a walk, and will keep in better humor and be fitter if given regular opportunities to run free in a safe area. Toy Poodles are not demanding as far as exercise goes.

Life Expectancy:
12-15 or more years.

Grooming:
Poodles must be bathed regularly and clipped every six weeks. Clean and check the ears frequently for wax or infection and pull out hairs growing inside the ear canal. The traditional clips were developed to lighten the weight of the coat for swimming and to protect the joints and major organs from cold, but many pet owners opt for a plain lamb clip (the same length all over). The teeth need regular scaling. Poodles shed little to no hair and are good for allergy sufferers. (See description for different styles of clips.)

Silky Terrier

Temperament:
This loving, little terrier is very intelligent, courageous and alert. Affectionate, spunky cheerful and sociable, they like to be close to their master, but do not accept them to be a "mellow" lap dog. They are full of energy. Curious about everything, it is an enthusiastic digger. Active, keen and demanding. Smart and quick, though a bit willful as with most terriers. Despite its size, this docile dog is watchful and protective. Normally these dogs are very loving with children if they are raised with them, but they can be snappish if peeved and should not be rough-handled or teased. A hardy little fellow, it is a good dog to travel with. It makes an excellent watchdog, but can become a barker if not controlled. They are reserved with strangers and not generally trustworthy with other pets. Socialize them well with cats when they are still a puppy or they will chase them when they get older. Can get jealous and pick fights with other dogs. Training these dogs is very straight- forward because it is very eager to learn.

Height, Weight:
Height: 9-10 inches (23-25 cm.)Females are generally smaller than the males.Weight: 8-11 pounds (4-5 kg.)

Health Problems:
Generally healthy. Minor concerns are intervertebral disc disease, elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation and Legg-Perthes. This breed sometimes is afflicted with diabetes, epilepsy, tracheal collapse.

Living Conditions:
The Silky Terrier is good for apartment life. They are very active indoors and will do okay without a yard.

Exercise:
The Silky Terrier is full of energy. It has surprising stamina and will enjoy regular chances to run and play, however they will adapt to the family's circumstances.

Life Expectancy:
About 12-15 years.

Grooming:
The Silky Terrier is very prone to tangles and mats and needs daily combing and brushing. It should be bathed regularly to keep the hair in top condition. It takes quite a commitment from its owner, requiring about 15 minutes a day. After bathing, make sure the dog is thoroughly dry and warm. The coat must be trimmed occasionally, and the hair on the legs from the knees down is often trimmed short. The hair that falls over the eyes is tied up in a topknot so the dog will be able to see easier. The Silky Terrier sheds little to no hair.

Prefectionists

Recently i have been watching those Taiwanese beauty shows toking about cosmetic surgeries. It seems that its pretty common in areas like Taiwan, Korea n Japan. Girls are getting more and more particular about their outer appearances.

For me, i would really like to go a lasik surgery to adjust my eye sights to prefect cos I'm sick of wearing contact lens, its costly and troublesome. The price of such survey used to cost about s$5000 but now it costs about S$1300 per eye. Getting cheap! Shall start saving up for this surgery.

IF...i got the money....i would like to do my eyes, my face, my body too..hee...

Double-eyelids surgery:
Suture blepharoplasty* $3,300-$3,600, healing takes three to five days. Looks natural in a week. Cannot remove fat or give eye lift. Few complications.

Open technique* $3,900- $5,100, healing takes six to nine days. Looks natural after six to 12 weeks. Can remove fat. Can give eye lift. Greater chance of complications.

“innie” foldA more oriental look, eyelid crease arches down to join the eyelash margin.

Slimmer Face n Slimmer calves:

BOTOX Injections About * $80 per injection but charged as "Areas": glabellar frown lines (* $480-$750), forehead lines (* $480-$1000), crow's feet (* $480-$750), chin (* $560- $750), face slimming jaw muscle injections (* $1,800-$2,000).

Liposuction

WHICH BITS Most effective on thighs and butt. But can also be used on tummy, calves, necks and arms.

UPSIDE It gives good and lasting results with a visible lift to the butt mound.

DOWNSIDE You have to take a week off as swelling and bruising is noticeable. Those who've extracted a lot more fat eg 5-6 liters may need hospitalisation and a blood transfusion.

All these are the prices that we have to take to be the "prefect" person. Is the effect of the multi-media that makes one think tt being slim, fair is being prefect? or is it juz us?

Wats there to do in Sinagpore??

Singapore is quite a small country, so there are really nothing much to do here. What can we exactly do in Singapore?

Day Time Activity:

Movie
Shopping ( VivoCity, Orchard, Suntec, Marina Sq, Bugis n neighbourhood shopping malls)
Sing KTV (K box n Party World, if u dun mind KTV pub)
Makan
Exercise (sports hall, neighbour, fitness's centres, clubs)
Sentosa (provided it don't rain, but the Singapore weather is so unpredictable)

Night Time activities:

Almost the same as day time activities (before 9pm)

But After 9pm...

There r basically nothing much for you to do, unless u r willing to spend $$$$ for it.

Fun:
Ktv, clubbing, pubbing (at least $20 if drinks r sponsored)

Leisure:
midnight movies ($9.50)
chill out (ard $10 for drinks) (Mt Faber, MS, Alley Bar,Balcony,Bliss, Gapevard etc)

Supper:
Geylang, coffee shops, prata shops (Jln Kayu, Thomas Rd, NUS etc), Mac

All the activities above excludes the can fare that you have to pay to get home, unless you got a car. 25% of midnight frm 11.30 to 12.30 and 50% after 12.30 to 6am. Otherwise, you can take the Night Rider home for like ard $3. If you dun mind the waiting, cos it comes at a freq of 30 mins each trip. And hopes that the damn bus drive dun miss you while u r flagging at him. Tt will means another 30 mins of waiting.

So wat else can we do in Singapore without spending money???

Addiction

Everyone has an addiction to something, pple smoke, take drugs, coffee etc. And me, i realised that im addicted to sleeping. I not only sleep cos im tired, i sleep cos i wanna escape from this world. I cant remember when is the last time i really smile or laugh cos im happy. I have been facing things tt make me feel that im living in a cell.

For weeks i have been trying hard to study for my mock exams, I not only have to fight for the time. I also have to fight against myself, i have to tell myself no matter wat unhappy things happened you have to juz concentrate and start studying. I cant describe how "sian" i am. But im juz consistently feel that i need to go out and breathe in some fresh air.

When im feeling down, i look ard me. I dunno who and how i can express how im feeling right now. But i realised that this world doesn't allow one to show all of themselves to other pple. Even in front of yr family members. If u do so, u r juz being stupid by showing pple yr weakness, pple will juz looked down on you.

I remembered once, a few yrs back. When i flew all the way to Beijing to take an entrance exams to the Beijing University. And i didnt make it eventually. I told my colleagues back then when they asked. However, this news happened to let my Auntie know. My mum scolded me badly for this. She scolded me for telling other pple tt i didnt make it for the uni. I felt really depressed, cos i felt tt my mum she is actually ashamed of who i am. Its not tt i didnt make it for the uni.

Things like this happened again after a few yrs. I realised that im never allowed to show pple who i am . The world I'm living in, pple r always trying to hide their weakness and show only their best side to the other pple. To survive, i have to conform. But who can i tell or show my true side? I guess for now, its only in my dreams that i can show my true self. Because, there's no one in this world would really care who i really was.

"In The Pursuit of Happyness, Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is a family man struggling to make ends meet. Despite his valiant attempts to help keep the family afloat, the mother (Thandie Newton) of his five-year-old son Christopher (Jaden Christopher Syre Smith) is buckling under the constant strain of financial pressure. No longer able to cope, she reluctantly decides to leave. Chris, now a single father, continues doggedly to pursue a better-paying job using every sales skill he knows. He lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, and although there is no salary, he accepts, hopeful he will end the program with a job and a promising future. Without a financial cushion, Chris and his son are soon evicted from their apartment and forced to sleep in shelters, bus stations, bathrooms, or wherever they can find refuge for the night. Despite his troubles, Chris continues to honor his commitment as a loving and caring father, using the affection and trust his son has placed in him as an impetus to overcome the obstacles he faces."
